After a fruitful night of Bluefin tuna fishing, we decided to take our money and run per se down the Baja coast. Dual purpose move: one was fishing for variety, and two was fishing for nicer weather. Very good fishing in the nice weather department but not so much in terms of catching. Unpleasant conditions in the morning inshore forces us back in to the offshore hunting mode. Overlaying a Terrafin picture and a 50m picture, we had an idea of where to start. Zigged and zagged all afternoon for no result. Out of lack of anywhere else to point we put the RS on course for last night's tuna zone, late arrival to the zone but still managed a dozen for our Hail Mary to end day/night 2. Once again we're making another move, this time West. Reports of big 100-250 lb tuna being seen; we will give it a try. Tune back for a good report I'm sure.
Today's cover photo goes to long time Royal Star angler extraordinaire, Stephanie Beneze. Photo is one of Steph's tuna from the night time activities the night before.
