Opting for a variety pursuit first the opportunity to yank and crank on abundant beach grade yellowtail, with plenty of huge bonito mixed in, shook out the kinks and warmed up our group for bigger and better things to come. Freighting a nice foundation in the first RSW tank the focus shifts tomorrow to the offshore pursuit of tuna and whatever else may find. The biggest factor in a successful offshore mission being good working weather we are in fine shape through the end of the voyage benefiting from a flat calm forecast. Now to find the tuna... Today's image features a group of anglers new Royal Star hailing from Homer Alaska. All charter boat Captains and crew they adapted to this style of fishing in short order and stayed on pace with even the most seasoned long range anglers. Needless to say we are fired up to see them all get after it pulling on some beautiful grade yellowfin tuna. Pictured are Chad Matthews, Christian Matthews, Sela Weisser, and Austin Ceccarelli with a "stock" beach grade yellowtail.
