Hot start to Beneze

We departed yesterday with the annual Beneze 3 day voyage. The ocean has been in a bit of a funk lately after the full moon but slowly snapping out of its funk. We opted to point the RS to a newly found area of Bluefin tuna where a little bit of day time action is to be had along with some decent night fishing. Arrived on the grounds late afternoon and manage to stay busy running from spot to spot hard earned handful of fish before dark. Night time proved to be the right time once again. Stopped on a big giant school right after dark and it proceeded to stick to the boat for 3 hours. After the dust settled we walked away with our daily limit. Not a bad way to come out of the gates. I have plan to take us inshore to find other species to occupy our day light hours. Wish us luck!
Today's photo honors goes to Royal Star veteran all stars Nathan and Stephanie Beneze led the troop last night!
