We departed Fisherman's Landing yesterday morning with a group of 20 hungry anglers. With positive reports from the fleet on the grounds, we are anxious and excited to see what's in store for us. Half way through our afternoon siesta, we came across a new area of fish. Wonderful! Impressive showing all afternoon long made the impression that the night time is going to be the right time with the lures; to our not so pleasant surprise we were never able to locate the meat that was around during the daylight hours. Quick 50 mile jog down the beach right before sun up gave us a quick taste, half a dozen fish for the night effort. Darn
Such is Bluefin fishing. We will give it a solid try on the Tuna grounds all day hoping to figure out the box to be in for the night time jigging festivities!
Today's photo honors goes to Royal Star friend, Cal.
Admin note: Fish are making a great showing after the moon. No surprise. We have openings on our upcoming 2 day trip leaving Wednesday 5/8 returning Friday 5/10. Excellent timing with the big showing of fish in various places! Book online or call Tracy in the office.
