Another fine day of angling beginning with a fantastic, “one stop shop” on beautiful grade yellowfin that set up the remainder of the day exactly according to plan. Variety and premium grade yellows while gaining altitude in good weather was the agenda. While the premium grade yellows once again were a tall order the variety piece was a resounding success with 14 different species total landed today. Not that a lot of the variety went into the RSW tanks. But the action was superb. Lots of bites and plenty of fun. No doubt the catch of the evening honors go to long time Royal Star veteran Kurt Dearie who wrested a behemoth, 61 pound White Sea bass from the deeps on the good old blue and white Salas 6x. Photo credit is assigned accordingly. As a finale the day concluded in a favorite, grease calm secluded anchorage settle in stopped for the night. We’ll be back at it tomorrow on the hunt for those difficult to find, primo grade yellows again in Southern Baja scenic paradise.
