The most glorious weather one can imagine set the stage for a nice long morning drift. Picking off a few tasty "cactus" and a couple more eager yellowtail it was a brief but welcome respite from a full final day of travel. In closing our most sincere appreciation and gratitude is extended to our long time friends on the annual Ventura County Anglers ten day voyage that reaches back to the 1990's. A true testament to our distinct brand of long range fishing this voyage is darn near like fishing with family. We go back with many of these stellar anglers twenty five or more years. Finally, we must extend our unending gratitude to Charter Master Brian Zimmerman who rode along in spirit this year stuck at home with a bum knee. While your company was sorely missed the anglers and crew managed to wrench a few fish from the sea and have a great time in your honor. Thank you.
Final voyage images feature Royal Star angler Ray Musselman with a beautiful ridge grade yellowfin tuna and, hailing from Cordova Alaska, first time Royal Star angler Stacie Chappel and yours truly with one of her three trophy grade yellows landed a couple of days prior.
