Not much to show for the final effort. A few smaller grade dorado and a handful of "midget" yellows were the grand result of a fifty mile mission offshore in beautiful weather. Of note was the significant amount of dorado seen. Colorful devils in the 5 - 10 pound class were widely distributed across at least twenty miles of the fifty mile trek. Jumpers, schools of 30 - 50 fish hanging around kelps, and various individuals spied cruising the area shunned our presentations. They were not interested. But rest assured they will be. It appears that in addition to the abundant bluefin more and more dorado are poised to join the party soon.
Finishing the trip on a soft note in no way impacted the overall tenor of success. A huge catch of phenomenal grade yellowfin tuna residing in the RSW tanks were the foundation of dominant satisfaction. Our most sincere gratitude is extended to all voyage participants who have made the annual Izorline seven day voyage a resounding success. In no small part the contributions of Izorline representatives Tom and Dale Kurata, and products from Izorline, add huge to the consistent success of this voyage. We close the trip this season on a high note already looking forward to next year
Final voyage photo features Captain Blake Wasano, Tom Kurata, and Kyle Suezaki with a fine example of the incredible grade of yellowfin tuna abundant at Isla Guadalupe available thus far.
